Authentic Filipino BBQ restaurant comes to Columbus’ East Side

Columbus boasts plenty of spots for classic American barbecue, Hawaiian barbecue, Korean barbecue and more. Now, a new spot for authentic Filipino barbecue has opened on the East Side of Columbus.

According to its social media accounts, Manila Hibachi is currently in its soft opening phase, with a grand opening celebration scheduled for Nov. 11

The new eatery is located at 3747 E. Broad St., on the far East Side of Columbus.

Named after the Capital city of the Philippines, Manila Hibachi offers the classic Filipino breakfast dish silog, in addition to ribs and barbecue skewers served with a number proteins, including beef, chicken, pork, shrimp and salmon.

The East Side spot also offers classic Filipino spring rolls known as Lumpia, Crab Rangoon and more. Traditional Filipino dessert options like Mais con Yelo, a shaved ice cream made with corn, and Halo-Halo, which combines evaporated milk, shaved ice and more to offer a variety of textures and flavors.
