Cameron Mitchell adding two new restaurants, including a Downtown steakhouse

In addition to Cameron Mitchell Restaurants’ upscale Italian eatery opening in German Village this year, the Columbus restaurant group now has two additional concepts in the works, according to a statement from Cameron Mitchell Restaurants.

One of the two new restaurant will be a Downtown steakhouse. The other is a new concept coming to Easton Town Center.

The statement noted that no further information is currently available. Neither the names nor the address were shared.

“Any day that you can confirm a Cameron Mitchell Restaurant is coming to Easton Town Center is a terrific day,” said Beau Arnason, Executive Vice President, Steiner & Associates in a press release. “Easton has been home to Mitchell’s Ocean Club for 20 years and it continues to be a favorite for our customers. We cannot wait to add another Cameron Mitchell Restaurant at this very high-profile location overlooking the fountain.”

The last several months have been tumultuous for steakhouses in Columbus, with Smith & Wollensky leaving its long-time Easton home, with Cut 132, a modern steakhouse concept, opening at the mall in its place.

Alongside the new Cameron Mitchell steakhouse, Smith & Wollensky announced that it plans to open a location in Downtown Columbus to replace its former Easton restaurant, although it’s unclear when and where specifically it will open.
