Central Ohio bakery location announces permanent closure

Hilliard residents looking to enjoy something baked fresh from Great Harvest Bread Co. will have less than one more week to do so.

In a statement posted to the Facebook page of the Hilliard Great Harvest Bread Co., which is located at 5311 Westpointe Plaza Dr., the bakery announced it will close for good at the end of the month.

“It is with mixed emotions we are sharing with you of the difficult decision we have made to close Great Harvest Bread Co. Hilliard, OH. Wednesday May 31st, 2023 would be our last day in our bakery cafe,” the statement reads.

The Hilliard location of Great Harvest Bread Co. originally opened in 2019, is one of three Columbus-area locations of the Montana-based chain. Its two other central Ohio storefronts, one of which is located in Westerville with the other on the northwest side of Columbus, will remain open.

The location will continue to operate regularly until it closes.

“We will continue to bake fresh breads & goodies and serve delicious sandwiches, salads, soups, & espresso until our last day. So, please stop by, say hi, and grab your Great Harvest favorites before we close,” the eatery’s statement reads.
