Sav McKee

Crispy crust lovers and soft doughy crust devotees, unite! There’s a new list in town, and one that features pizzas that satisfies both Columbus-style die-hards and New York-style aficionados.

From family owned pizzerias to more artisanal shops, Restaurant Clicks, a publication that highlights the best spots in cities around America, created a list of their top 9 pizza picks, based off local recommendations, personal experience, and extensive online research.

Here’s where they think you should indulge in some mouthwatering pizza this weekend:

Adriatico’s New York Style Pizza
1618 Neil Ave, Columbus, OH 43201

This 38 year old pizzeria has been around for so long for a good reason. They offer New York-style thin, large slices of course, but you should try their Sicilian squares, too, with light, fluffy dough and crisp corners. “Be sure to try the chicken bacon ranch, inflation fighter, buffalo chicken, or chicken pesto,” says Restaurant Clicks.

Plank’s Cafe & Pizzeria
743 Parsons Ave, Columbus, OH 43206
Type: Columbus-style

Since 1939, Plank’s pizzeria has been slinging thin-crust, Columbus-style pizza, but with their own twist: their sauce and crust is a little on the sweeter side, and patrons love it.

Think: gooey pockets of mozzarella, a wood-fired dough, softly charred, charred, and farm-to-table ingredients. You can almost taste it just reading this. Restaurant Clicks recommends the Annie Social, Porkistopheles, or the Clintonvillian.

Panzera’s Pizza
1354 Grandview Ave, Columbus, OH 43212

“Thin and crackly, hot and tasty,” is their motto, and I feel like that’s really all you need to know about this place. Panzera’s was established in 1964, and it’s definitely known for their Columbus-style pizza.

The owners were born in Italy, but this Columbus pizza spot is a fusian of both wood-fired Italian and crispy Columbus za. Restaurant Clicks recommends the BBQ chicken, the Brenz white, Bianca Rossa, or the Spinach Artichoke.

You can grab this quintessential New York-style pizza by the slice, but we don’t blame you if you eat an entire pie, either.
