Clintonville restaurant announces permanent closure

Jack McLaughlin

The Clintonville location of a popular Ohio-based restaurant concept has closed its doors for good.

According to a statement posted to the Facebook page of Old Bag of Nails Pub in Clintonville, as of today, the eatery has permanently closed. The Clintonville Old Bag of Nails is located at 4416 N. High St.

“We thank the people of Clintonville for welcoming us into your community and hope you’ll join us for food & fun at our Worthington or Upper Arlington locations,” part of the statement reads.

It’s unclear what prompted the closure, but Old Bag of Nails will continue to operate more than 10 Columbus-area locations, in addition to eateries in Centerville, Mansfield, Mason and Toledo. The Old Bag of Nails in Upper Arlington also launched its own sister pizzeria last year, Upper Arlington Pizza Club, which will remain open as well.

The concept, which offers an approachable atmosphere alongside elevated American cuisine, opened its Clintonville location in September of 2019.
