Put some ancho chilies on that, Bobby.

Avisahr Barua, the standout Columbus chef behind the recently-opened concepts Joya’s Cafe and Agni, has beaten the final boss of the celebrity cooking world: Bobby Flay.

Baruau appeared on season 33, episode 4 of “Beat Bobby Flay” earlier this week, and he emerged victorious.

In the show’s first round, Barua squared off against Romain Paumeir, executive chef of New York City’s Restaurant Daniel, which was awarded two stars in the most recent Michelin Guide. In the initial round, the chefs made dishes featuring darode, a Mediterranean fish.

Barua then took on Bobby Flay in the show’s final round. And he won, creating a lamb kati roll (a type of Indian street food wrap that typically features skewered meat) with a salsa guasacac and a maple chaat yogurt.

If you want to try a version of the dish for yourself, the Columbus chef’s Worthington eatery, Joya’s Cafe, features a Kati Roll on its menu for $16.
