A Columbus kitchen is spreading its wings–and looking south of the border–in order to open a new restaurant concept.

Blackbird Kitchen–the Columbus eatery that began serving indulgent Mexican fare and smash burgers several years ago from the kitchen of Woodlands Tavern–has announced the addition of a new, burrito-dedicated restaurant.

According to Blackbird Kitchen owner Jack Kendall, Blackbird Burrito Co. will open its doors next month inside Woodland’s Backyard, which is located at 668 Grandview Ave. in Grandview.
