“Quality, creativity, and community,” is what Jason Wings, local homebrewer, says he hopes to evoke in his new concept, Thunderwing Brewing.

Taking over the now-closed Sideswipe Brewing location at 2419 Scioto Harper Dr., Thunderwing Brewing is going to start serving their wide variety of styles, from golden ales to dark stouts, starting Friday, October 6th, at 3pm.

Their grand opening party lasts all weekend: Friday at 3pm, Fetty’s Street Food will be parked there, and the taproom will be open until10. On Saturday, Back Room Coffee will be slinging their single origin espressos starting at 11am, and Eye of the Tiger will offer their iconic food-truck fare starting at 1pm. Then on Sunday, Sharecuterie Co. will be there from 12-7pm, serving charcuterie options.

“We want to consistently improve the quality of the beer. We want to never stop offering creative options for customers to try. And get creative with events as well,” Wing said. “With community, we want to partner with other organizations and help them drive their passion, their cause, help them take flight and rise up.”

Along with homemade, craft beers, this brewery plans on offering rotating food trucks all year long, not just on their grand opening weekend, and patrons can also have food delivered to pair with their ale.

“We can’t wait to pour you the freshest beer on this side of the Scioto!” said Thunderwing’s Instagram.

Cheers!
