Columbus pizzeria nominated for national Top 100 award

A popular Columbus eatery has traveled to Las Vegas with national award aspirations in mind.

According to Stephan Harman, co-founder of Paceline Restaurants, the group that now operates the Columbus-born concept Wizard of Za, Wizard representatives headed to Las Vegas earlier this week week, as the eatery was nominated for the Pizza 100 Top Movers & Shakers.

The awards, which are created by Pizza Marketplace, will be handed out to national pizza concepts across six different categories. The categories include:

Top 15 Emerging brands

Top 15 Growth Brands

Top 15 tech Innovators

Top 15 Menu Innovators

Top 15 Marketing Campaigns

Top 25 Executives

According to Hartman, Pizza Marketplace has not informed nominees of which field they’ve been nominated in. This means that everyone will have to wait until the Top 100 Pizza Gala, which takes place today in Las Vegas. Let’s wish the Wizard some luck.
