Ever wanted to try a warm donut filled with cold ice cream and covered in toppings? Now you can in Clintonville

While the name Donut Slider might initially make you think of a burger featuring a donut bun, at Libby Lou’s Fun Factory in Clintonville, it’s something even more original.

According to Brooklyn Becker, the daughter of Libby Lou’s owner Tara Becker, the Donut Slider starts with the empty shell of a donut that would typically hold jelly filling or custard is stuffed instead with ice cream, sauces and a variety of toppings. The creation is then placed into a donut press for “approximately 10 seconds,” before being taken out, sprinkled with even more toppings, and served.

“This way, the outside is heated up but the ice cream in the middle is still cold,” Becker said.
