Now only has Fat Girl Bakery officially opened its new, larger location on the border between Westerville and Columbus, it’s also rolling out a whole lot more sweet treats that couldn’t be purchased at its previous home.

The bakery held the grand opening of its new storefront, which is located at 6547 N. Hamilton Rd., in late April. It was formerly located at 1347 Cameron Ave. in Lewis Center

According to owner Amy Whalen, the new location will continue to serve the bakery’s popular line of cupcakes and brownies, and now donuts will be in the mix.

Offerings change daily, but the eatery has already advertised items like vanilla long johns topped with cookie crumbles and maple donuts with bacon bits.

The new location has also see the addition of savory items, like breakfast sandwiches on a biscuit.

“I’m so excited about this. I’m a Gahanna grad and grew up in New Albany. I survived Covid as a business while being unseen from the road. But now you’ll see us and our nice pink sign!  We can not wait for you to see our new location! It’s a blessing all around to me,” Whalen said.
