Five out of Ohio’s 25 best burgers are here right here in Columbus, according to national publication

What makes burgers so special is that everyone has a preference (for me personally, a veggie burger with a slice of vegan cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, and a lot of ketchup and some type of aioli), but if the only option in front of you is just a plain, no-frills patty and bun, it’s still somehow still so good. It’s no wonder that it’s one of America’s favorite foods.

Some prefer a huge, triple decker loaded with onion rings, while others prefer a simple smashburger with a patty and cheese only. Either way, you’re in luck here, because apparently, Columbus has five of the best burgers in the state.

Enjoy Travel, a food publication, chose finalists by first asking a panel of food experts and sifting through reviews, then casting a poll on their social media account.

Here’s where they think serve the absolute best burgers in Ohio, out of 25 establishments:

#24 The Rail – 1064 Dublin Rd.

“They proudly source all of their meat from local farmers and cook it super fast on their grill for maximum freshness. Throw in great craft beers and it’s absolute heaven,” says Enjoy Travel.

#22 Harvest Bar & Kitchen – 2885 N. High St.

Usually known for their wood-fired pizza, their burger is something you shouldn’t push aside. Their Clintonville location serves the “Rosie Burger,” with grass-fed Ohio beef, aged white cheddar, bacon-onion jam, pickle mayo, and shaved iceberg. If you have some beef with beef, they also serve an incredible veggie burger made with a walnut patty.

#16 Flip Side Easton – 3945 Easton Station

Enjoy Travel calls their burgers “insanely good,” but also has a lot to say about their fries. “It’s the fries that go with them that will truly blow your mind,” they emphasize.

#11 Bareburger – 463 N. High St.

“Casual, eco-minded regional chain for organic burgers (from beef to bison) with a great selection of beer & wine. Their burgers are so pretty you nearly don’t want to eat them. Nearly!” says Enjoy Travel. Bareburger also offers vegan options!

#4 The Thurman Cafe – 183 Thurman Ave.

No burger list is complete with mentioning The Thurman Cafe. Although Enjoy Travel didn’t necessarily mention the infamous Thurmantor, that’s definitely a popular burger choice. But The Thurman Cafe also serves fantastic single cheeseburgers!
