Following temporary closure, this Columbus pizzeria has now closed for good

Earlier this week, the East Side spot Mama Nancy’s announced its plans to temporarily close, but that now it appears the closure is more than temporary.

According to Mama Nancy’s, the eatery is now closed for good.

On Sunday, the pizzeria posted an update to its Facebook page that said the concept had temporarily closed, and that additional information was soon to come. In a followup email, a Mama Nancy’s representative told 614Now that the pizzeria has now shuttered for good.

“Store is permanently closed,” the eatery’s email reads.

Located at 3495 E. Broad St. on the East Side of Columbus, the pizzeria opened in 2021, and quickly gained a following in the Columbus foodie scene, particularly for its Chicago-style deep dish pizzas, the recipe for which the restaurant’s founders brought with them to Columbus from Oak Park, Illinois.
