Former OSU football player opening virally-popular cookie shop next week

They don’t call Crumbl Cookies the country’s fastest-growing cookie shop for no reason, as central Ohio is set to land another Crumbl storefront soon. A ribbon-cutting ceremony for Crumbl’s Canal Winchester location will take place on Sept. 28, and the cookie shop will hold a grand opening celebration Sept. 29-30.

The Crumbl Cookies in Canal Winchester is located at 6310 Gender Rd.

Former Ohio State football standout Reggie Germany is the franchisee of central Ohio’s newest Crumbl store. Germany, who is also the franchisee of the Centerville Crumbl location, told 614Now that many current and past Buckeyes (including Beanie Wells, Dee Miller, Obie Stillwell and more) will attend the grand opening. The event will also feature live music, a balloon artist and more.

“As a businessman, you always have to keep the business exciting for the customer,” said Germany. “The model for most of the franchises in the food industry is to change their menu quarterly in most cases. Crumbl changes it weekly, which keeps things exciting for everyone.”

If you’re wondering, the former OSU wide receiver’s favorite Crumbl offering is the Apple Pie cookie, and his wife, Keah Germany, favors the Oreo Milkshake cookie.

The Canal Winchester location will be the 10th central Ohio storefront for Crumbl, which now operates more than 500 locations.
