Named for its proximity to the brick-lined streets of German Village, Beyond the Brix has closed its Parsons Avenue restaurant, but the eatery has a brick and mortar home lined up, and is planning to launch a food truck soon as well.

According to owner Shawnta Hopkins-Greene, Beyond the Brix shuttered its original location on April 2.

The spot–known for its brunch, inventive hot dogs and lively late-night scene–will be relocating to the city’s southeast side. Its new brick and mortar space will be located inside the Truth NightLife complex at 1921 Channingway Center Dr., and is planning to open in May.

Hopkins-Greene said the new location will weekend brunch and paint and sip events. Additionally, Beyond the Brix is planning a new food truck for the brand. The truck was originally slated to open April 10, but mechanical issues have delayed its opening to April 23.

The food truck will offer a similar menu to the Parsons Avenue location, with the addition of weekly barbecues, Hopkins-Greene said.
