Here are 614feast’s picks for the absolute best steaks in Cbus

Anthony O'Connell

I’m a fan of all cuts, from the hefty porterhouse to the tender filet, and the underrated hanger. I order medium-rare at a trusted steakhouse, but hey, your steak, your rules – even if that means well done. Each cut has its own charm and is a feast in its own right. So let’s dive into the sizzling world of Columbus’s finest steaks.

The Top Steak House (2891 E Main St)
Porterhouse is the best of both worlds: the tenderness of filet mignon meets the beefy flavor of a New York strip. The Top sets the perfect scene – the restaurant has an old-school, Mad Men-esque vibe – think dim lighting, a classic whiskey in hand, and a plate of premium steak. It’s an iconic experience that goes beyond just the meal.

Third & Hollywood (1433 W 3rd Ave)
Marinated Hanger Steak, soaked in a phenomenal marinade that elevates its flavor. Nicknamed the ‘butcher’s cut’, the hanger steak might be lesser-known but it has excellent taste and texture. It’s a hidden gem that butchers historically kept for themselves, a testament to its quality and deliciousness.

Jeff Ruby’s Steakhouse (89 E Nationwide Blvd)
In the world of steaks, the Japanese A5 Ribeye Wagyu is as elite as it gets. Ribeyes are known for being rich and flavorful, but the A5 Wagyu takes it to another level. It’s one of the rarest and most sought-after beef cuts globally, offering a luxurious, melt-in-your-mouth experience. Treat yourself!

Lindey’s (169 E Beck St)
Go with their 8-ounce filet mignon, complemented with a rich demi-glace. While their brunch receives well-deserved accolades, it’s their steak that deserves more spotlight. Each filet is seasoned to perfection, with a consistent cook. It’s a major feast.

Hudson 29 Kitchen + Drink (1600 W Lane Ave)
Their Slow Roasted Prime Rib is tender, juicy, and very meaty, with high-quality beef cooked low and slow. This method brings out the best in the meat, making it a special treat for any steak lover.
