Here’s when the owners of Chapman’s Eat Market will open their new Short North restaurant

If all goes according to plan, we’ll have to wait just over a month until we can try Hiraeth, the new food-fired restaurant from B.J. Lieberman and Bronwyn Haines.

According to Lieberman, the restaurant aims to open in mid-July.

The pair, who also owns Chapman’s Eat Market and the subterranean jazz lounge Ginger Rabbit, are bringing the new eatery to a new building located at 36 E. Lincoln St., a stone’s throw off the busy High Street strip of the Short North.

The new restaurant will boast a large wood-fired grill in the center of its large basement level dining room, but will also offer a first floor dining room and bar to guests.

While Leiberman said final menu is still determined, he noted dishes at the Short North eatery will represent a variety of cultures and cuisines.

Earlier this year, fellow standout Columbus chef Avashar Barua opened Agni, another wood fired eatery, in The Brewery District.
