Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers is coming to the Columbus area.

The first central Ohio location for the restaurant chain has been in the works for several months, but plans for the eatery were officially approved by the City Council of Grove City during its Dec. 5 meeting.

According to plans submitted to Grove City on Sept. 9, Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers will be located at 4108 Buckeye Parkway. It will be located on the east side of the Parkway Centre shopping plaza.

The 3,027 square-foot restaurant is a new build. No opening timeline has been provided for its opening. The eatery will include space for indoor and outdoor dining.

Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakurgers launched its first restaurant in Wichita, Kansas in 2002. There are currently multiple Freddy’s locations in Ohio–including storefronts in Centerville and Zanesville–but none in the Columbus area.
