New 70s inspired ‘Disco Club’ in former SeeSaw space announces grand opening

Sav McKee

When SeeSaw closed this summer, many patrons who like to get their groove on were left without a space in the Short North to do so.

Now, the wait is over – a 1970s inspired dance club, Good Night John Boy, is taking over the space and is opening soon. This Disco Club features LED-lit dance floors reminiscent of the one in Saturday Night Fever, 70s inspired cocktails, TV dinners, and of course, a giant disco ball. You can bring your go-go boots and dance the night away at 906 N. High St. starting Saturday, September 2nd.

Along with dancing starting at 11pm, dinner will be served 3pm-9pm, as well as a “Disco Brunch” 11am-3pm.

A press release said this new space has an “overall ambience reminiscent of your grandparents’ funky basement meets Studio 54.”

This new concept is owned by Forward Hospitality Group, the same group that operated SeeSaw along with three additional Good Night John Boy locations: one in Cleveland, one opening soon in Chicago, and another opening in St. Petersburg, Florida.
