New mini donut vendor opening first brick and mortar location next week

A new donut vendor is preparing to open at the East Market.

Monster Baby Donuts, which serves miniature vegan and gluten-free donuts, is set to open its doors next week. According to an Instagram post from Monster Baby, the mini-donut vendor will hold its grand opening at the East Market on Oct. 27.

Monster Baby will open at 11 a.m. for its grand opening, and will remain open until 9 p.m., or until it sells out of donuts. It will be located in the southwest corner of the East Market, closest to Kelton Ave.

While this is Monster Baby’s first brick and mortar space, the concept has been steadily gaining traction as a vendor at a handful of markets and festivals both locally and in the Dayton area.

While remaining both vegan and gluten free, the concept offers flavors like Strawberry Lemonade, Buckeye and even jelly-filled donuts with a sunbutter glaze, a peanut-free riff on the classic peanut butter and jelly.
