Owners of Gahanna Grill opening a new cafe

“We wanted something special and completely different,” said Armand Sollaku, the co-owner of the very popular restaurant concept near Creekside, called Gahanna Grill.

Their newest concept, Star Kitchen Cafe, is located in Merion Village at 1471 S. High St. “It will be like a Starbucks, but with a full kitchen. Think American, healthy, fast food options, and European-style coffee,” explained Sollaku.

Their menu is still in the works, but Sollaku said they’re planning on offering sandwiches, wraps, pitas, and even breakfast sandwiches, like a bacon, egg, and cheese, and bagels with homemade cream cheeses, made from homemade pesto and sun dried tomatoes.

Star Kitchen Cafe will be officially opening in the next two weeks, most likely with hours from 7:30am to 2:30pm, but Sollaku said a grand opening is not going to be announced until they’re fully staffed and until friends and family test out their menu. Basically, he’s waiting for everything to be perfect for customers.
