Owners of Market Bar opening international wine bar and “wine library” in Dublin

One of North Market Bridge Park’s cornerstone vendors is branching out with a new concept.

Owners of Market Bar Wayne Lin and Pete Volker plan to open Market Bar Vinoteca, which will feature fine wines from around the world, in addition to a massive “wine library” for patrons.

The new concept, the name of which comes from a Spanish word meaning “collection of wines,” will help wine enthusiasts explore bottles from around the world with a wine classification guide. Market Bar Vinoteca will also feature a state of the art wine dispensing and preservation system.

“We’re very excited and looking forward to opening Market Bar Vinoteca and offering a relaxed, approachable, curated wine experience to our friends in Bridge Park and Dublin.” Volker said in a press release. “Our wine dispensing system and extensive glass pour offerings will also be ideal for tastings and flights—the best ways to enjoy the experience of expanding one’s palette and knowledge of wine.”

Construction will begin in the next several weeks, with an opening slate for this spring. Market Bar Vinoteca will be located in stalls 11 and 12, on the south end of the Dublin marketplace. The current retail section of the original Market Bar will be moved to the south end of North Market Bridge Park where Market Bar Vinoteca will be located, but Market Bar’s drink offerings will remain unchanged.
