Polaris restaurant abruptly closes, but teases new location

With little warning, an eatery that seemed to be a focal point of Polaris’ dining scene has shuttered, although a new location is allegedly in the works.

According to a statement posted to its social media accounts, The Royce closed its Polaris location, which was located at 8791 Lyra Dr., on June 12.

“THANK YOU for three wonderful years, we could not have done it without you,” the eatery’s statement read.

According to the post, fans of the concept don’t have to say farewell for good, as the eatery claims to be opening a new location.

“The end of a chapter only means the beginning of a new chapter. We will be opening a new location to be announced soon,” the statement reads.

The Royce did not include any further details of the new location.

The concept was opened in Columbus by restaurant veteran Walter Carpenter in July of 2020.
