Popular Columbus restaurant and butcher shop announces closure of near east side location
The Butcher & Grocer is leaving the East Market.
According to a post made to the concept’s social media accounts this morning. The Butcher & Grocer’s restaurant in the East Market has already closed, while the butcher shop will remain open until Aug. 20.
“It is with great sadness that we announce the closure of our restaurant at the East Market effective immediately. The East Market butcher shop remains open and we are having a 50% off sale to liquidate as quickly as possible. The East Market shop will close permanently on Sunday,” the statement reads.

The Butcher & Grocer’s Grandview storefront will remain open.
It’s unclear what will replace the artisanal butcher shop and restaurant in the East Market, but 614Now will provide followup coverage as soon as more details become available.
