Popular Columbus sweet shop launches ‘Cupcake Bus’ concept

What’s better than indulgent cupcakes offered in flavors like Gooey Chocolate, Lemon Dream, and Salted Praline?

How about when those flavors are brought to you via a new Cupcake Bus? The popular Polaris spot GiGi’s Cupcakes has launched the Gigi’s Cupcake Bus, which–as you guessed it–serves Gigi’s indulgent desserts on wheels.

While the new vehicle operates similarly to a food truck, GiGi’s Cupcake Bus is actually made from a converted bus that offers a pop-out window for service and a number of the bakery’s top cupcake flavors pasted in high-definition on its siding.

While the Cupcake Bus is currently selling cupcakes it creates in-store—with the same menu as that of its Polaris and Cincinnati locations—the vehicle is being fitted with plumbing and electricity so it can eventually offer CakeShakes, ice cream, coffee, cinnamon rolls and more.

The new mobile cupcake vendor plans to post its schedule daily on its social media accounts, and plans to create a StreetFoodFinder account soon as well.
