Wildly popular live music bar & grill opening first Columbus location
If you’re the type of person that would rather hear a live band jam out to Wagon Wheel while the rest of the crowd sings and dances along, rather than just bopping your head to the usual Spotify playlist blasting from a speaker, then Columbus’ newest addition might be right up your alley.
Tin Roof, a casual, live music bar with locations all around the U.S., is taking over the former Flower Child location in the Short North at 989 N. High St., according to a manager at the Cincinnati location.
City permits show that currently, an interior remodel is underway, including architectural, structural, mechanical, plumbing and electrical disciplines.

“Tin Roof, A Live Music Joint, is about giving musicians a place to play and a place to hang when they aren’t on stage. The tasty food, fun, eclectic environment, community of Regulars and friendly Crew have established the Roof as the place to be for musicians and non-musicians alike. Over the years, our stages have hosted the famous, the should have been famous, and everyone in between,” says their website.
Now-famous musicians who were once considered “up & coming” and got a start performing at Tin Roof’s Nashville location include Kacey Musgraves, Hunter Hayes, and Luke Combs. We can’t wait to see Columbus’ talent on display!
And while you’re enjoying a live show, you can chow down on their pub fare, which includes burgers, wings, quesadillas, cheesesteaks, and even tacos. They offer no-frills cocktail specials, like $4 well drinks on Thursdays, but also a large cocktail menu, with salted watermelon margaritas and a a variety of punches, and of course a draft menu.
An opening date hasn’t been released yet, but keep your eyes peeled!
