Since 2021, we’ve known that Delaney’s Diner was preparing to open a restaurant inside Groveport’s new redevelopment project, 1847 Main. Now, we finally have a grand opening date to look forward to.

According to a statement released from Delany’s Diner, the eatery will open its third restaurant, located at 674 Main St., one week from today, on Feb. 6 at 6:30 a.m.

“Finally, an opening date,” the statement reads. “We are so excited and can’t wait to be part of the Groveport community!”

Delaney’s Diner, which first opened in Westerville in 2017, also operates a location on the east side of Columbus.

The new diner will be one of multiple tenants in 1847 Main. The project, made up of two separate two-story buildings known as Rarey’s port and Wert’s Grove, was originally slated to house the first standalone restaurant storefront for Preston’s: A Burger Joint, although the concept will now be located at 2973 N. High St. in Clintonville, the former home of Buddha Bowl.
