Popular food truck concept finds permanent home in now-closed brunch restaurant

There’s a reason Los Potosinos has stuck around for so long – for the past 14 years, they’ve been slinging some of the best, most authentic Mexican food right out of their bright red food truck parked on E. Long St.

Now, they’ll soon be offering their iconic menu still, but at a physical restaurant location.

Los Potosinos announced via social media that they’ll be moving to 695 E. Long St. this month, in the former home of What The Waffle, who quietly closed in late Spring of this year.

This new King-Lincoln District space will still offer everyone’s favorite Pollo al Carbón, huge burritos, and whole fry fish, as well as a brunch menu served all day! Lidia Labra, the owner, said she’s excited to serve an “All Mexican Breakfast,” with cheesy scrambled eggs, bacon, and salsa, as well as Chilaqueles, Huevos Rancheros, and other Mexican breakfast staples.

As for an opening date, Labra says that depends on health department inspections, but hopefully this month, in 2-3 weeks. They’ll be announcing a grand opening party on their Facebook page, so stay tuned.

Congrats to owner Lidia and the rest of the Los Potosinos crew! Columbus is so excited, and so ready.
