Popular food truck owners opening Indian pizza concept in Franklinton

Jack McLaughlin

The owners of a popular Indian food truck are combining the Indian cuisine they’re known for with an Italian flair.

The owners of the Two Fatt Indians food truck are opening a brick and mortar kitchen featuring Indian pizza and more in Franklinton.

The new eatery, which will be called Two Fat Indians Fusion, will be located inside the brand-new Cypress Kitchen, a unique multi-concept restaurant space located at 177 S. Cypress Ave. The Two Fatt Indians food truck will continue to operate.

Two Fat Indians Fusion, which will open its doors on May 12, will be the first of likely four eateries to call the Franklinton spot home.

While the concept will have other fusion options, it plans to be anchored by its Indian pizzas. New speciality pizzas will be rolled out each month, in addition to a pair of mainstay pies: A Chicken Tikka Masala Pizza and a Vegan Channa Chat Pizza. Two Fat Indians Fusion will also serve a variety of Indian classics like Chicken Vindaloo, Saag Paneer and more.

Cypress Kitchen, which operates with elements of both a food hall and a ghost kitchen, will allow two of its vendors to utilize a walk-up window for customer orders (one of these will be Two Fat Indians Fusion). Patrons will then be able to take their food to go or eat on-site at the Cypress Kitchen outdoor seating area.
