While Mnchs Kitchen is preparing to leave its home in DankHouse Brewing, fans of the concept can rest assured that the eclectic eatery has even bigger plans on the horizon.

According to Lehne Runyon, who owns Mnchs Kitchen (pronounced “Munchies”) alongside Dallas Runyon, the eatery is currently moving to its first-ever brick and mortar home, which will be located at 56 W. Main St. in Newark.

For the Runyons, who also owned Short & Stout Kitchen and Short & Stout Mobile Bar, this will be the third iteration of Mnchs, which first opened inside of the Daily Growler before closing this space in 2019. The concept later relocated to a repurposed shipping container on DankHouse Brewing Co. property.

“Opening our own brick and mortar after being in two separate partnerships with people is exciting yet extremely scary since we’ll be in charge of every decision that needs to be made,” Lehne Runyon told 614Now. “I feel we’ve learned a lot from our previous business ventures and we know what we’re getting ourselves into. The transition should be fairly easy at the same time because we’re doing the same thing just with a bigger space (and with the luxury of A/C and heat).”

The eatery, which features everything from tacos to birria ramen to smash burgers, is planning to open in November, although an exact date has not yet been announced.
