Smoothie and acai bowl chain opening in Dublin
If your fast-food order involves a cold-pressed juice or an acai and pitaya bowl, it’s technically healthy fast food, right?
Right! And soon, Dublin will have another healthy fast-food option. Playa Bowls, a smoothie and fruit bowl chain with roots in The Jersey Shore, is slated to open at 6704 Perimeter Loop Rd.
This chain focuses on the environment, first and foremost, according to their website. All of their new buildings are equipped with 100% LED lighting technology, they use ECO bowls, spoons, lids, and straws, and they partner with local companies on unique recycling solutions to reduce waste. Since first opening a storefront in 2014, Playa Bowls has expanded to 200 other locations in the USA.

They’ll serve a variety of fresh juices, tropical smoothies, loaded acai bowls, and even coffee, with seasonal options like a Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew in the fall at their Dublin location. An opening date hasn’t been announced yet, but keep updated through their website.
