The best ramen in all of Ohio is here in Cbus, according to food publication

The days are getting chillier, and I don’t know about you, but I’ve been craving a bowl of umami, hearty, savory ramen almost every single day.

Lucky for us, the best ramen eatery is right here in Columbus, according to LoveFood, an online food publication. In their 2023 list of “The Best Ramen in Every State,” none other than Meshikou Ramen was ranked as being the best in all of Ohio.

Meshikou, located at 1506 Bethel Road, is #1 for a good reason. Their website says they’re “the first and most dedicated ramen shop in Columbus, Ohio. We simply focus on our craft, to be the ramen hot spot.” They offer authentic Japanese ramen options, with both vegan and meat-based broths, plus appetizers like a BBQ Chashu Bun (which I ask to sub tofu!) and Mazemen (brothless ramen).

LoveFood said, “If you’re not a ramen purist, then the offerings at Meshikou Ramen in Ohio’s capital might be for you. The brothless Yuzu Soy Mazemen is a perfect pick, featuring noodles drizzled with a sweet Japanese yuzu (sometimes referred to as ponzu) soy dressing, and then finished with pork and shredded seaweed. There’s a range of ramen dishes built on a savory chicken broth too.”

I definitely know what’s for dinner tonight.
