The ‘Best Wings in Ohio’ are at a Columbus pizza joint according to recent study

Buffalo, BBQ, Gochujang, Habanero, Lemon Pepper Garlic, Teriyaki, Honey Sriracha, Thai Chili, Jamaican Jerk…the possibilities seem endless when it comes to choosing a wing flavor.

Fortunately, Mashed, a multi-platform publication dedicated to writing about the best restaurants and recipes in the USA, conducted a study on where to find the best wings in every state, and the decision on where to go for wings and what flavor to get is now a little easier for us Columbus folks.

Out of the thousands of restaurants in Ohio that could have been top contenders for the best wings, a no-frills, late-night eatery in Downtown Columbus, known for their pizza and beer, and now wings, was ranked as the best place for wings in all of Ohio.

OH Pizza and Brew, located at 88 E. Broad St., “…is much more than just pizza pies and pints of beer,” said Mashed. “They also have Nashville Hot Rub Breaded Wings, the finest wings in the city of Columbus or any other city in the state of Ohio.”

While a lot of wing lovers prefer a Buffalo or BBQ sauce, the editors at Mashed weighed reviews that specifically emphasized the breaded wings on OH Pizza and Brew’s menu. “[The Nashville Hot Rub Wings] are the only breaded wings on their menu, and that’s part of what makes them so good. The mix of brown sugar and cayenne pepper is perfect and will turn you into an instant fan who will join the legion of satisfied patrons,” said Mashed.

Mashed specifically conducted research on restaurants that weren’t considered a typical “chain restaurant,” digging through reviews, tracking down awards, talking to locals, and reading countless articles, according to their study.
