The Flamingo Room, a new partially solar-powered inspired bar, opening soon Downtown

The Flamingo Room at Downtown Tavern is coming to Columbus this weekend.

The new concept, which will occupy the former banquet and event space attached to Downtown Tavern, is set to have a preview and soft opening this Friday and Saturday.
The new bar will share an address with Downtown Tavern, the new concept that took over the former home of Lola’s Kitchen + Bar earlier this year, which is located at 201 S. High St.

According to co-owner Kevin Ames, who is also behind Downtown Tavern and Lola’s, The Flamingo Room will feature five solar-powered skylights spanning the length of the space, which boasts an 18-seat bar and seating for 40 more.

Guests will be able to grab a drink at The Flamingo Room, and food at Downtown Tavern, which includes an eclectic menu of contemporary American favorites.

According to Ames, he’s working with Milestone Marketing and FYVE Marketing, a change of pace for the Columbus restaurateur who, before the new bar space, chose to maintain little social media presence.
