This new Mediterranean restaurant is making waves throughout the city
The reviews are in: Columbus’ newest Syrian Restaurant has been called “exceptional,” “incredible,” and “amazing” by Columbus foodies alike.
Halab Cafe recently opened at 2550 Bethel Rd., serving authentic Syrian food, which is a fusion of Middle-Eastern and Mediterranean cuisine. Think: fresh shawarma, kabobs, whole fried fish, falafel, hummus, tabbouleh, plus much more, including home-made desserts like Baklava.

This restaurant takes inspiration from multiple Middle-Eastern and Mediterranean countries from around the world. For example, Syrian (heavily spiced) and Iraqi (more mild) kabobs, Egyptian meshabek, and Turkish shawarma. Plus, since this is Columbus, OH after all, they also offer some burgers and fries (with spicy garlic!).
Halab Cafe is open Tuesday to Thursday, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Friday to Sunday, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
