North side bar and strip club site of shooting incident for the second time in months

One person has died in a shooting near an north side bar and strip club, the same business that was home to a separate shooting just over four months ago.

According to Columbus Police, officers were called to The Doll House–a strip club and bar located on the 1600 Block of Karl Ct.–on Jan. 29 at 2 a.m. on a report that multiple people had been shot.

One individual was pronounced dead at the scene, while two others were transported to a local hospital and listed in stable condition. A fourth victim who was grazed by a bullet was treated and released at the scene.

It’s unclear if the shooting occurred inside or outside the business.

This incident follows another shooting that took place outside of the Doll House in late September, where two individuals were shot and three others grazed by bullets during a fight that broke out in its parking lot.

On Dec. 5, Columbus City Council objected to renewing the liquor license of the Doll House, along with the licenses of 11 other business. This list of businesses will go before the Ohio Liquor Commission, which will make a final decision.
