Family of former Buckeyes QB Dwayne Haskins alleges he was drugged and blackmailed before death

Former Buckeyes standout Dwayne Haskins tragically lost his life just over a year ago today, and his widow Kalabrya Haskins–via a statement from The Ellsley Law Firm–has filed a lawsuit and released a lengthy statement to go along with.

The statement, among other claims, states that Kalabrya Haskins believes her husband was both drugged and blackmailed.

“As to what occurred in the hours before Dwayne was killed, many questions remained unanswered. It is believed Dwyane was targeted and drugged as part of a blackmail and robbery conspiracy,” the statement reads. “In fact, his highly-expensive watch was stolen from him hours before his death.”

The statement also touches on the details of Haskins’ death, claiming other motorists were able to avoid hitting him, and that many called 911 afterwards.

He was struck and killed by a dump truck driver on I-595 in Florida.

“Many questions remain as to why the truck driver did not avoid hitting Dwayne given the highly visible activity in the area before the impact and the fact that the other drivers did not hit Dwayne,” it reads, also noting the driver who hit Haskins, who was refused to give a blood sample at the scene.
