From Marvel to Mother Nature: New COSI exhibit profiles world’s most fascinating animals

Jack McLaughlin

COSI was home to an exhilarating exhibit on the world of Marvel recently, but now, a new set of superheroes is taking over the museum: real-life animals.

Nature’s Superheroes: Life at the Limits, an exhibit that kicked off this spring and will run through Sept. 4, highlights all shapes and sizes of the natural world’s most interesting inhabitants.

Admission to the exhibit is included with the price of general admission to COSI. You can buy COSI tickets here.

Did you know the axolotl, a unique Mexican salamander, can regrow parts of its lungs, eyes, gills and even brain tissue if it’s damaged?

Or, have you heard of the remarkable black swallower, a deep-sea fish species that can consume prey up to a remarkable ten times its own weight.

These unique creatures and many more come to life through videos, interactive dioramas and larger-than-life models. Many real-life animals highlighted in Nature’s Superheroes will also be available to meet up close and personal at the exciting COSI exhibit.
