New event venue with sweeping, second-floor views of High Street, OSU campus now open

Just steps away from the historic OSU Oval and Mirror Lake at the intersection of 15th Avenue and High Street, a new venue is providing an elite-level space to enjoy gatherings of any sort—and any size— in the University District.

Located on the second floor of 14th E. 15th Ave., in the development that is known today as University Square (formerly 15th + High), Vitria on the Square has officially opened its doors.

With a capacity of up to 500, the new campus-area venue can host everything from weddings to corporate events, or even something a bit more Buckeye-related when football season rolls around this fall.

“It would be the perfect space for an upscale OSU tailgate,” said general manager Bryan Wright.

Vitria on the Square offers multiple unique spaces within it as well. The largest of the three, The Grand Ballroom, features floor to ceiling windows (in addition to 25 foot-tall ceilings) overlooking the Ohio State University campus and High Street. It can accommodate up to 350 guests in round-table seating, or up to 500 in theater-style row seating. The space is also home to a set of massive monitors (the largest of which is 108 in. by 191 in.) which can be used to display videos, photos and even play live OSU football games.

Adjoining The Grand Ballroom is a gallery space with a sophisticated sitting area and a private terrace used to host cocktail receptions and similar events. Last but not least, the Terrace Ballroom boasts a capacity of 120 people per event, in addition to a private terrace overlooking a first-floor plaza, built-in monitors for screenings and more,
Vitria on the Square is currently booking events. You can click here to inquire about renting the space.
