Columbus business goes through “nightmare” relocation after 13 years in Victorian Village; New location now open

Nails on Neil spent nearly 14 years in Thurber Plaza, the Victorian Village shopping center that is primed for redevelopment (adding apartments, a new Lucky’s Market location and more).

After leaving Thurber Plaza late last year–in a move that owner Hien Dang referred to as a “nightmare”– the longstanding Columbus spot has finally moved to its brand-new home.

Nails on Neil has now officially opened the doors of its new storefront, which is located at 2869 Olentangy River Rd.

Earlier this year, the salon occupied a temporary home while work on the Olentangy River Road space was being finished; that store was located at 1188 W. 5th Ave.

“We’re so happy this place is finally done. I don’t not know how to explain the excitement that me and my wife have right now,”Dang said. “We lost some of our workers [with the move] but hopefully our regular clients and some new ones will join us now. The nightmare is finally over with us up and running.”

According to Dang, even though the new storefront is no longer on Neil Ave., the name of the longstanding Columbus business will remain the same at its new store.
