Long-standing local food truck opening carryout eatery at Columbus Commons

Yesterday, the popular eatery Spaghetti Warehouse announced its plans to relocate to a new “legacy” location near the Columbus Commons in the fall, and it isn’t the only exciting opening the area has ahead, either.

Long-standing local food truck Tortilla Street Food will open a seasonal carryout eatery–which will be located inside Columbus Commons at 160 S. High St.–on April 21.

According to co-owner Walter Eguez, the concept has operated a Commons location for the last several years, a space that typically remains open between late April and October.

“It’s not a food truck, it’s a physical location, and it’s in the middle of the park,” Eguez said. “It’s beautiful, there are plenty of events, and people can stop by on their way to or from the office.”

Additionally, according to Eguez, fans of Tortilla Street Food need not worry about the Columbus Commons location struggling to live up to the experience of the decade-old food truck, either.

“The menu is exactly the same, the experience is exactly the same as coming to the food truck,” he said.

The eatery will be open Monday-Saturday.
