If you’ve been mulling over taking the little ones to a Columbus Blue Jackets game, this might be your sign to get at it.

On Dec. 10, when the Columbus Blue Jackets host the Florida Panthers, a handful of mascots from Ohio sports teams, as well as those from other NHL squads, will be present at Nationwide Arena.

The event, titled Mascot Madness, will feature Blue Jackets mascot Stinger, in addition to fellow National Hockey League (NHL) mascots N.J. Devil (New Jersey), Stanley C. Panther (Florida), Stormy (Carolina), Howler (Arizona), S.J. Sharkie (San Jose) as well as Rosie from the Cincinnati Reds.

A pregame meet and greet will be held from 12:15-12:45, where mascots will give autographs and take photos with fans. The first 5,000 fans under the age of 13 will receive an exclusive mascot poster, and mascots will be available on the concourse to sign posters throughout the evening.

The game itself begins at 1 p.m.
