This massive U-pick sunflower field is opening next week

Late summer is sunflower season, and a popular spot will kick off its sunflower festivities next week.

According to a social media post from 22 Acres Farm, the wedding venue and farm located at 5545 Davis Dr. SE in Newark plans to open its sunflower fields to the public next week.

22 Acres’ U-pick sunflower season will run from July 29-Aug. 10.

“We welcome those who want this type of experience to come visit us on the farm and see the sunflowers, some wildflowers, grab a lemonade & shop a cute collection of vendors,” the farm’s post reads.

Admission is $5, and U-pick sunflowers bouquets will be $10 each. Dogs on-leash are welcome. Kids four and under are free.

The field will be open 12-8:30 p.m. Monday-Thursday and 9 a.m.-8:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday. It will be closed Sunday.
