61-year-old central Ohio bowling alley sold to Arizona real estate company

Three brothers originally built a central Ohio bowling alley back in 1963, when a game only cost around 50 cents.

Since then, this 61-year-old bowling alley, Gahanna Lanes, has undergone quite a few transformations – a previous manager of the bowling alley and his incorporation called “Bowl for Fun” acquired Gahanna Lanes in 2015 for $900,000, preserving the history of the iconic alley, but also modernizing it with adding a VIP bowling room and new technology to make the experience seamless.

Now, an Arizona based real estate company has officially acquired the vintage bowling alley. Store Capital bought the 1.7 acre property for $3.8 million according to the Franklin County Auditor’s Office. Store Capital manages The company specializes in single-tenant operational real estate properties, with more than 3,230 properties in 49 states.

As of their plans for the bowling alley, Store Capital could not be reached for comment.
