‘Emmy Nominee’ reality TV show casting soon in Columbus; could potentially be filmed here, too

Maybe you’re tired of online dating — the process of initially being judged, and judging others just by how their pictures look isn’t really your style.

If that sounds like you, there’s a popular Netflix dating/reality TV show that’s officially going to be casting in Columbus, that proves it’s what’s on the inside that really counts. At least, sometimes.

It might not sound like a big deal – that some contestants could be pulled from our city to be on the show – but it is! If you’re familiar with the premise of the show, called Love Is Blind, 15 men and 15 women all from the same exact city are placed into fancy “pods,” and the men and women can only date each other with a wall between them. They can only talk to each other and ask questions about each other, falling in love just based on one another’s personality, instead of building an attraction through face-to-face connection.

If a couple decides to get engaged by the time their journey in the pods is complete, the couples then meet each other. After that, they visit each other’s families, their separate homes, local restaurants, and create an action plan so that they can eventually get married at the end of the show. Again, all taking place in Columbus!

It’s dramatic, it’s juicy, and it’s outright crazy, but with Columbus being a potential city for filming the show (if we’re chosen), this would mean we’d be witnessing 30 potential new local celebrities, and local bars, restaurants, and even popular apartment complexes being featured, too!
