Bridge Park unveils new gigantic golf ball statue, intended for selfies

An enormous golf ball has made its way to Bridge Park for the second consecutive year, and you’re encouraged to take a selfie with it.

In conjunction with Dublin’s annual Memorial Golf Tournament, Visit Dublin has established a giant golf ball sculpture in Bridge Park. It currently is located between Fado Kitchen + Pub and Cap City Fine Diner & Bar on Riverside Drive.

“You’ve probably seen giant gold balls along Riverside Drive that highlight some of the charitable efforts in the Memorial Golf Tournament. We wanted to play off that, creating photo opps inside of Bridge Park. We wanted to be part of the fun,” said Visit Dublin marketing coordinator Katie Thompson.

The ball, which has a diameter of six feet, was set up in early May, and will remain in Bridge Park until June 9.

Visit Dublin is running a giveaway with the giant golf ball as well. Anyone who posts a photo of themselves alongside the statue and tags @visitdublinohio can win a free Visit Dublin “swag bag,” Thompson said.
