Columbus dog park and bar celebrating NYE by dropping hundreds of tennis balls at the same time

Columbus’ first-ever dog park and (human) bar is celebrating its first New Year’s Eve open the best way it knows how: by dropping hundreds of tennis balls at the same time.

Bumble’s Backyard, a recently-opened concept that combines both a dog park and a bar plus coffee shop, is launching their first-ever NYE (Tennis) Ball Drop tonight at 5 p.m. A public countdown will begin at 4:59.

You’ll need a pass to Bumble’s Backyard to attend (and your dog will need proof of updated vaccinations), but the event will not require special admission.

“We are dropping all those balls in [the picture above] at once at our park on New Year’s Eve for the pups! It will definitely be a sight to see all of the dogs trying to catch them. It should be a really fun time,” a Bumble’s Backyard representative said.

The concept is located at 1280 Brown Rd., in the former home of Double Happy.
