614 feast digs into Columbus’ most unusual Thanksgiving-themed dishes

Gobble ‘til you wobble! This month, I’m eating until I’m as stuffed as your turkey. While there are plenty of spots serving up traditional Thanksgiving feasts, I want to highlight my top three specialty Thanksgiving items.

Dirty Frank’s Hot Dog Palace (multiple locations)

You’ll be thankful for this wiener and two balls this holiday season! The Franksgiving Dog features a big ball of mashed potatoes and a big ball of stuffing, loaded with rich gravy, scallions, and served with a side of cranberry sauce. Plus, there’s a vegan version available for everyone to enjoy. A festive feast in hot dog form!

Mikey’s Late Night Slice (multiple locations)

Columbus’ Original Gobbler is back! Two popular restaurants teamed up to bring you the best parts of Thanksgiving dinner on a pizza. Mikey’s pizza gets loaded with Ray Ray’s smoked turkey, house-made stuffing, rich turkey gravy, and a side of cranberry sauce. Enjoy this festive collaboration at any of the Late Night Slice locations that sell Pizza of the Week available through 12/01.

Cap City Fine Diner and Bar (multiple)

The Thanksgiving Day Sandwich is a holiday meal between two slices of buttermilk toast. It starts with oven-roasted turkey that’s delicious on its own, but they don’t stop there—they add homemade stuffing, rich homemade gravy, and tangy cranberry mayonnaise. Served alongside mashed potatoes smothered in even more gravy, it’s comfort food at its finest. What’s finer than a diner that serves you gravy on your sandwich and your mashed potatoes?

Slab Kitchen (1421 Davidson Dr)

Located inside Eastside Brewing Co. in Reynoldsburg, the Thanksgiving Day Turkey Sandwich is a holiday classic: loaded with turkey, stuffing, turkey gravy, and cranberry mayo on toasted Tuscan bread. Consider this a bonus recommendation—I haven’t tried this sandwich yet, but Slab Kitchen’s comfort food is top-notch. Their burgers, ribs, pretzels with beer cheese, chicken wings, and cheese curds are some of my favorites. I’m confident you’ll enjoy this one too. If you try it, let us know what you think!

Have you tried all of these Thanksgiving-inspired dishes? Be sure to enjoy these seasonal specials ASAP before they’re gone!
