And just like that, Johnson’s Real Ice Cream plans to double its footprint.

After announcing new locations in Italian Village and Grandview earlier this year, Johnson’s Real Ice Cream, will now be adding a third new location, in Canal Winchester.

“The ongoing openings mark not just an expansion for Johnson’s but a celebration of the love our community has shown us. We are honored to be part of the fabric of Central Ohio and look forward to creating sweet moments in Italian Village, Canal Winchester, and Grandview,” Matt Wilcoxon, Johnson’s CEO and 4th generation owner said in a press release.

The standalone Canal Winchester storefront will be located at 20 N. High St., within the city’s historic Downtown. The new Jonhsons will be situated directly adjacent to Canal Winchester’s Stradley Place, a popular park and event venue.

Johnson’s other new storefronts will open in the former home of S’Wich Social (869 N. Fourth St.) and across from the Grandview Cafe (located at 1325 Grandview Ave.). According to a press release, all three locations plan to open this spring.

The family-owned ice cream shop, which was founded in Bexley in 1950, operates its original storefront in Bexley, in addition to locations in Dublin and New Albany.
