85-year-old national chain shutters Central Ohio location; one more facing eviction case
Last week, 614Now reported that a national chain since 1939 was evicted from multiple locations around Ohio, Indiana, and Kentucky.
Unfortunately, the evictions have reached us here in central Ohio. Frisch’s Big Boy, located at 1707 River Valley Circle N. in Lancaster, abruptly shuttered last Sunday.
Fairfield County Municipal Court records show that the landlords, Orlando-based NNN Reit LP, was able to evict Frisch’s because they had unpaid rent. Court documents indicate that Frisch’s has failed to pay rent on several properties dating back to February.

Fingers crossed that the Frisch’s in Grove City doesn’t have the same fate, but there’s an eviction hearing for them on November 14 in Franklin County Municipal Court.
In a statement, Frisch’s said, “Due to unforeseen circumstances and various other factors…Frisch’s Big Boy Restaurants will be closing certain locations. We look forward to serving our loyal and beloved Frisch’s customers at other locations and apologize for any inconvenience.”
